The Global Educational Network for Satellite Operations (GENSO) is an innovative and automated ground station network. It is being developed to allow radio amateur and educational ground stations to collaborate by tracking each others' spacecraft and distributing mission data via terrestrial internet. By allowing far more access to spacecraft than is possible with a single ground station, GENSO will dramatically increase mission return. GENSO is being developed under the auspices of the International Space Education Board (ISEB), consisting of the education departments of CNES, CSA, ESA, JAXA and NASA. ESA is coordinating the project, and it is currently progressing through an Alpha testing phase.
