"An Overview of the International Space Station" -  the 16th of May, Tuesday, at 11am in the seminar room

 Abstract:

An overview describing the International Partnerships, as well as the Assembly Sequence, Physical Characteristics, External Environment, Altitude & Attitude, and Research & Requirements of the ISS will be given. There will be as much scientific emphasis in each of these topics as possible, as well as sufficient engineering detail to make clear the research capabilities of the ISS. The talk is intended for scientists, engineers, and others who have an interest in human space flight and in the utilization of space for scientific and technological research.
