Brancaster is a small town on the north Norfolk coast. Mainly known for its golfing and sailing. There would be more to see in this photo if it was taken 1,700 years ago when the northernmost of the 'Saxon Shore Forts' was built. Unfortunately, in 1770 the yokels half-inched every last stone for the malthouse at Brancaster Staithe. Hope they got cirrhosis.
