Richard's Photo Gallery - Helme Park

The lonely sunsets flare forlorn
Down valleys dreadly desolate;
The lordly mountains soar in scorn,
As still as death, as stern as fate.

Dreadly poetry; rather better countryside hotel for the North Pennines. There are plenty of more expensive places to stay but few with surroundings as peaceful. However, effete southerners like me who are accustomed to the concept of 'portion control' are in for a shock.

As you pile on the pounds, watch the sun flare forlorn over Weardale. You should be able to make out the lights from Walsingham 5km away.
