Downloading instructions
You can either point your web browser directly to the
FTP site,
or download files by anonymous FTP.
- log onto ftp.ee.surrey.ac.uk (username=anonymous,
password=<your full email address>);
- change directory to my ftp directory, cd pub/vision/staff/p.jackson/;
- select the appropriate subdirectory;
- set the appropriate type of file transfer (i.e., ascii or bin);
- download the files you require (e.g., get readme.txt).
For example, you might begin your session as follows:
> ftp ftp.ee.surrey.ac.uk
> login: anonymous
password: user@somewhere
----- some messages ---
> cd /pub/vision/staff
> cd p.jackson
> ls
> ...
