Majid obtained his PhD from the Centre for Communication Systems Research at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK. Concurrently he is employed as a research officer, doing research on a number of research issues and being involved in a few internal and external projects.

Projects

CCSR Wireless Network Testbed (WNT)

He is appointed as the manager of the WNT since June 2001. WNT is provided for research on wireless networks, services and applications.

IST MAGNET and IST MAGNET Beyond (Ended)

He was a member of work-package 2, “Networking and Inter-working”, mainly working on service discovery, Personal Area Networks Self Organisation and Personal Networks Self Organisation.

IST 4WARD

He is a member of work-package 2, “New Architecture Principles and Concepts (NewAPC)”, mainly working on the architecture proposal for future Internet.
