Note: Pass figures are rounded approximations. It's actually a 12 minute pass * 8140800bps = 715MB, or just over 650MB (a CD-ROM's worth) that can be downloaded each pass once framing overheads are taken into account.

- Satellite applications workshop
-
As a guest lecturer, gave a three-hour workshop at the International Space University summer session '06 in Strasbourg, France, 12 July 2006 (via Bill Cowley). Introduced satellite constellations, then let students work on simple exercises in creating constellations using SaVi. Also spoke on slot clouds and on CLEO.
Work done on SaVi for this workshop led to the release of SaVi 1.3.

- Testing the Cisco router in orbit: thoughts on extending the Internet into space
-
A talk on Cisco's router in orbit given as part of the local Guest Lecture Series (via Tanya Vladimirova), Surrey Space Centre, Tuesday 15 November 2005.
A commercial mobile router was integrated into the UK-DMC satellite, and has been on orbit with the satellite for over two years. The talk overviews over a year of successful testing of the router, along with the developments in extending the Internet to orbit and building Internet-Protocol-enabled satellite infrastructure that made this router integration possible (and even easy) in the first place. Possible future steps are also discussed.
Testing the Cisco router in orbit slides, presented Tuesday, 15 November 2005.
