The
Amethyst Quartet - based in Surrey - was formed in November 1997 by graduates
from the London music colleges - all of whom are playing professionally. The
string quartet specialises in music for Weddings - including music specifically
for the Ceremony and Reception, Dinners - including Conferences, Special Birthdays
and other social occasions.
The Amethyst Quartet was registered with the National Band Register in 1997.
Our repertoire ranges from Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Handel etc. to Palm Court, Dance and Film music. There is a repetoire list at the end of this page.
We regularly obtain work via the Musician's Union and various Conference organisations including the University of Surrey Conference Office.
We work mainly in the Surrey, Kent, Hants and London areas.
Our rates are from £450 plus travelling expenses where appropriate. We do not work through an Agency but by advertising locally and through personal recommendation.
We will work with you to find the music best suited for your event.
